It was a pleasure to hear that NYC’s SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS (SVA) acquired VANISHING CUBA for its library. SVA is a multidisciplinary college of art and design known for its unparalleled faculty and innovative curriculum. The Manhattan school offers BFA, MFA, MA, MAT, and MPS degrees.

SVA has some notable alumni, including myself and my son Alexander Chinnici, the great LA-based cinematographer.

Their undergraduate program includes a BFA in Advertising, Animation, Comics, Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects, Design, Film, Fine Arts, Illustration, Interior Design: Built Environments, Photography and Video, Visual & Critical Studies, Art History, and Humanities and Sciences.

Their graduate program includes an MFA in Art Practice, Art Writing, Computer Arts, Design, Design for Social Innovation, Fine Arts, Illustration as Visual Essay, Interaction Design, Photography, Video and Related Media, Products of Design, Social Documentary Film, and Visual Narrative. An MA in Curatorial Practice, Design Research, and Writing and Criticism. An MA/MAT in Art Education. And an MPS in Art Therapy, Branding, Digital Photography, Directing, and Fashion Photography.

Thank you, SVA, for adding Vanishing Cuba to your reference library.

THE GETTY CENTER ACQUIRES THE DELUXE EDITION OF VANISHING CUBA

THE GETTY Research Institute, Los Angeles, is the latest to acquire the Deluxe Edition of my book, Vanishing Cuba. What an honor! I have always admired the Getty Center for its dedication to excellence. Knowing that my book has found a home there and will forever be available to view and study is outstanding.
