Designed by Michael, printed and handcrafted in Italy, this elegantly styled 348-page museum-quality photo book is a beautiful addition to any coffee table or bookcase.

UNIQUE PRINTING TECHNIQUE
The book’s color images are printed using a proprietary 7-color Spectra System to provide the most vibrant colors. The book’s black & white images are printed using a 2-black and 1-grey TriTone System, delivering superior b&w images with breathtaking results. Ultra-fine, dot-less, stochastic printing rounds out this magnificent work of art. Printing in 10 colors is a rarity among photography coffee table books. Thanks to the support of Heidelberg Press, Epple Inks in Germany, and Longo Press in Italy, we created a truly stunning book. Many have said that we “set the bar.”

CURATED IMAGES AND STORYTELLING
Michael has curated his 24 trips to Cuba into a wonderful storytelling photo collection. Each beautifully crafted book is produced with stories in both English and Spanish, with Cuban friends helping guide the narrative with beautiful essays. Michael’s style of photography captures the “Soul of Cuba” in the most authentic, endearing, beautiful, and honest light. His images are so lively; that they jump off the page. His stories are so compelling; that you are transported to Cuba with the turn of every page.

EXCELLENT REFERENCE BOOK
True, the book is a beautiful photographic storytelling journey through the lost-in-time island nation of Cuba. But it’s also filled with many historical references woven into the writings. For this reason, many prestigious University libraries and public libraries across the globe have purchased the book for their permanent collections.

This book ships within the United States in one to three business days. International shipments take one to two weeks.

  1. Mark Seymour

I’ve travelled to Cuba countless times for photography, and when I spotted Vanishing Cuba in a little restaurant in Viñales, I couldn’t put it down. I ended up buying the Silver Edition when I returned home and honestly, it took my breath away.

The imagery is stunning, every frame full of soul, and the print quality is absolutely exquisite.
It captures the island’s warmth, resilience and everyday magic in a way that feels both intimate and timeless, making it a book I will treasure for years.
Each page feels like a quiet whisper from Cuba herself, a gentle reminder of her fading echoes and vibrant heartbeat woven through light and shadow.
It’s the kind of book you return to again and again, finding something new in its poetry every time a fleeting gesture, a forgotten corner, a story waiting patiently to be noticed.

The craftsmanship of the printing is exceptional that the photographs feel almost tactile, as though you could step right into the moment.

A heartfelt thank-you to Michael for creating such an exceptional piece of work.

  2. Anjana Chakravarty

Astounding photographs accompanying stories from the heart.Absolutely stunning pictures which breathe life into each storyline. It’s an insightful bouquet of flowers which are strung together with gossamer. Whether it’s the simplicity of the people or gaily painted streets and houses reminiscent of the Spanish colonial architecture, the red car and stunning pictures of nature’s bounty… Who can forget ‘Fidel Castro’ and ‘ Che Guevara’….
This coffee table book is like a shell which reveals the pearls inside as you go from one page to another.
The print quality is par excellence and visuals simply jump out of the pages to vie for your attention.
Michael Chinicci has given us a marvelous must buy coffee table book…which will be a scintillating jewel in your collection

I was recommended this book by my aunt, Renu Chaudhary, who has worked on this project with Michael. Looking through the photos brought me right back to the time my wife and I travelled to Cuba ourselves a few years ago, in the summer of 2017. The magic and timelessness of the land is done due justice by Michael and his photos. His love, admiration, and awe for the spirit of the Cuban people shines through the pages of this book. It is a fitting tribute to a people who with little fault of their own, found themselves caught between competing political ideologies, and as a result didn’t quite have the same access to the riches globalization has brought many other nations. This tribute of a book sits proudly in our home in London. Well done to the team behind this project for bringing this to bear for all to savour!

  4. Barbara Brown

Stunning photography and you get a sense of the country, the culture and the people. I have several favorite photos and most of all love the expressions on the faces of the people. A work of art!

  5. Craig Robins

Michael Chinnici’s book, Vanishing Cuba, is an incredible epic compendium of life in Cuba captured by a master photographer’s lens. He has done an outstanding job capturing the beauty and variety of life in Cuba with an amazing number of intimate portraits.

For a photography book, this is a large format volume with hundreds of pages and hundreds of photographs that are a delight to view. This book makes an excellent addition to any travel photographer’s library or anyone who has toured Cuba, and deserves a prominent place on any living room coffee table.

I have viewed the book a number of times and never tire from the vast number of beautiful, colorful and compelling photos. It is such a nice dive into the culture and humanity of a country that for decades was frozen in time.

  4. Lois H

“Vanishing Cuba” is a magnificent work of art. It is a beautiful book filled with amazing photos, detailed stories to go with each photo that brings characterizations and culture of the Cuban people alive to the reader. Without having visited Cuba, I felt immersed in the every day life of the Cuban people … their culture, their land, beauty of the land and buildings, poverty, and a sense of their pride, gratitude and happiness with their lives.

  5. Michael Paez

Just received the book today and on first look not sure I have adequate words. Incredible, Amazing, Fantastic… now to properly read and immerse myself will take a nice glass of sipping rum, Cuban cigar and dive in.

I look forward to that and can’t wait to get my cousins thoughts at the Cuba he left almost 60 years ago.

Michael, I extend my congratulations. It exceeded your pre-publication notes and most assuredly I will have a follow up review to add what i am sure will be more compliments.
